John Glenn Boles IV, 61, of Red Hook, passed away tragically on Wednesday, April 21st in a house fire.
Born in Rhinebeck on November 21, 1959, he was the son of Carol Milroy, who survives in Staatsburg.
As a transportation coordinator, he was employed at Gateway of Kingston. He previously worked for Bridge City Beer as a truck driver, and as an EMT for Northern Dutchess Paramedics.
John was a 1977 graduate of FDR High School in Hyde Park.
Mr. Boles was a member of the Staatsburg Fire Department, the Crum Elbow Sportsmen’s Association and the Red Hook Boat Club.
He loved being involved at the Native American Pow Wows and did sound production work for some of them.
John loved the Adirondacks and going on trips with his family to Texas, Tennessee, and all around New England and New York.
He was an avid NY Mets Fan, loved NASCAR, especially the late Dale Earnhardt, and was a paranormal investigator with Indy Para Paranormal Investigators.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Steven Boles of Staatsburg, and Mark D. Milroy of Hyde Park; stepbrothers, Don Milroy of Rhinebeck, and William Milroy of Ghent; stepsister, Cathy Rau of Oregon; aunt, Alice Jane Bruns and husband, Jack, of Florida; uncle, Tim Milroy, of Florida; nephews, Tyler, Brady, and Colton Milroy, all of Hyde Park; and several cousins.
John was predeceased by his father, John Boles III; stepfather, Donald Milroy; uncle, Bob Boles; paternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth Boles; and nephew, Steven Boles.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 PM, Thursday, April 29th and again 9 to 10 AM, Friday, April 30th at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A graveside service will take place at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 30th at Crum Elbow Cemetery, North Quaker Lane, Hyde Park.  
Masks will be required, and proper COVID safety protocols will be observed.
